6 months, 1st Easter, and other updates...

Sorry it has taken me so long for this update, but we have been really busy the past few weeks! Well, my little boy turned 6 months old a few weeks ago! I thought I had a few more months before he really started growing up, but I guess I was wrong! He has been trying to crawl since the week before he turned 5 months old, and he perfected it a week before turning 6 months old, so that means he is into EVERYTHING! He tries to dump the animals water dish over and he crawls right on over to our laptops and tries to eat the power cords! Not only is he crawling but about a week ago he started pulling himself up and standing. Once he gets sturdy he will atempt to let go only to fall on his butt....it is soo cute! He is such an active little boy! Also, he has TWO teeth now. They started coming through the gum last weekend, so it was not a fun weekend, but it ended well because he came out with 2 teeth! So, like I said...he is growing too fast!

Brayden enjoyed his very 1st Easter eventhough he didn't get to hunt any eggs this year! I got him some stage 2 foods for his basket, an outfit, and a stuufed rabbit. We went to his dad's side of the family to hangout. He got an egg with some change in it, so he wasn't completely left out...haha! All in all it was a good time of hanging out with family and enjoying the day! He also just recently took his 1st of many trips to Aggieland! I took him along with my mom and Jon's mom to College Station for Parent's Weekend to do some shopping and looking. Since he is growing like a weed he needed some more Aggie apparel!

My best friend Krystal drove down last weekend to visit and we had a good time! It was her first time seeing Brayden and they both got along nicely! She watched him for me on Friday while I worked, and on Saturday we all went out and about! We went to Buda to see the weiner dog races, but didn't get there in time! After we looked around for a bit we took him to Zilker Park and rode the little train around...it was sooo much fun! We also bought him his 1st swimming pool and tried it out, but it wasn't the best results...haha! I think the water was too cold because he gave out the most terrified cry! Now when he is placed in or on something to cool he lets out the same cry....kinda sad! I think once the is warmer out and the water is warmer he will LOVE it! We were sad to see Krystal go because we had such an awesome time with her! This is all of our updates for the time being....he will be 7 months in a week! The time is flying by soo quickly! I think I am gonna need to start planning his 1st birthday soon before that slips up on me!

lately....

Well, it has been awhile since I was last on here and soo much has happened! Brayden is 5 months now and has grown so quickly! He is a little over 15 pounds and 26 inches long....my baby is getting big! A few days before he turned 5 months I put him on the floor to play and he tried to crawl. He hasn't gotten it down yet, but he is trying soo hard! He has also mastered rolling over, so much that changing his diaper or clothes is a major task! As soon as he is put on his back he wants to roll over. The funniest part was I laid him on the bed the other night after his bath to dry him off and no sooner than he hit the bed he was rolled over and trying to crawl....butt naked! I laughed soo hard and hoped that he wouldn't pee on my bed! He is soo adorable! He also loves to sleep on his tummy now....must have gotten that from me. We put him to bed on his back and he flips over almost immediately. He has gotten so smart over the past 5 months. He loves to roll around everywhere and play with his toys! He has a little laptop that we got him for Christmas that he enjoys the most! Here are some recent pics of our lil' prince:

So much has been happening these past few months! Jon took me to San Antonio the weekend after Valentine's Day for a much needed getaway! We stayed at the Grand Hyatt on the Riverwalk and had a wonderful time! We drank a huge, 32 ounce, margarita, and we ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Brayden went to his 1st birthday party for his cousin Kaitlyn, who turned 1! Other than that we have just been busy with the little man and our family! We have been working on stuff around the house to try to get it sold so that we can move! We continue to look forward to the many amazements that our son holds! I will try to update more often since he is becoming more active and learning more things! My life has truely been blessed by my little boy! He has taught me soo much and watching him grow makes me wonder what I was like when I was his age. The past 5 months have been some of the roughest months of my life, but they have been a huge learning experience for me and I wouldn't change anything that has happened! I love my life, my husband, and my son!

Well, I am finally starting a blog that will let our family and friends know what is going on in the Fiscus household! Not only is it our first blog, but a little update on what has been going on the past 3 months. Jon and I have been married for a year and 2 months, and we have a 3 month old little boy! Married life has been wonderful, but we have had our ups and downs, too! The birth of Brayden James was the best day of my life. I love that little boy to death! The months following his birth have been horrible for me, but that is due to all of the medical issues I have had. I enjoyed my first week with him and then all hell broke lose. I was in labor for 12 1/2 hours before the doctor decided to do a c-section because I wasn't progressing. He was finally born at 4:34 am on October 10, 2008. He was 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 21 inches long.

A week after he was born a stitch busted open! Went to the doctor and was told to let it air out and heal, and was given an antibiotic. A few days later a bruise above my c-section site busted open leaving a 8+ cm hole in my stomach. Went to the doctor and had to begin having it packed daily. So, I was in the process of getting that taken care of and trying to enjoy my son, kinda hard when you have limited mobility. I was starting to feel better and enjoyed Brayden's first Halloween when I had to go to the emergency room!

I ended up being admitted to the hospital for gallbladder surgery! My baby was just a few weeks old and already had to be away from mommy for a few days. That surgery along with recovering from a c-section made mobility very difficult. I pushed through and by the time he was 2 months old I was feeling better, but my stomach was still being packed every other day. We really enjoyed Brayden's very 1st Christmas and he actually seemed to have a good time.

He just recently celebrated 3 months of life and he is growing soo much! He has been such a joy to Jon and I's life! He is becoming much stronger and has begun rolling from his back to his tummy. We are so proud of him! Here are some recent pictures of our little prince!
